..but you gotta admit, Jewels ARE fun! 

I spent the day with my bestie Zakariya yesterday. We had lunch at Cafeteria and then made our way into a few stores to search for my mom's B.Day gift. ...Luckily, we were both able to find something without getting a headache. & while shopping for her, I of course found a few goodies for myself. 

For some years now, the only earrings that I've been wearing are a pair of diamond studs that my mom lent me, but never got back [lol]. & they're quite discreet. Statement rings, and necklaces, I've always had a thing for - but never dared to get bold with ear pieces.

That is, until now! 

Chandelier earrings? ...me? - I've always thought they were too "I wanna be Beyonce" but after trying these on I couldn't leave them behind. & it's mostly because they mesh well with my shaved sides. The hair gives rocker. & the earrings give Priss [or is that me?]. ...either way - these are my new favorite things. 

[I soo see them with a loose white button down [tied @ the waist, maybe] w a pair of light blue Boyfriends <3 ...it's the ultimate laid back look. The earrings will have no choice but to ARRIVE.]

Well actually, it's a tie between my earrings and new rings.

A Night @ The Doll House | Tattoo Party

I spent most of my Thursday deconstructing denim jeans - turning them into ripped up, frayed and tie-dyed shorts. ...much like the ones that I'm wearing below.

I did this for about 7 pairs of jeans that are being sold at Paper Doll Boutique

Yesterday after dropping them off at the boutique, I distressed a pair of jeans for my friend Victoria Shelton [owner of Paper Doll] - as we killed time before the tattoo event that was being held there.

I'd decided earlier that day that I wouldn't be getting a tattoo but after the crowd came in, and I mixed and mingled in the sea of ink and good energy my mind changed, QUICK. 

Not knowing what to get, I asked Stephy to help me find something that she thought would fit me well. & her suggestion was spot on!

We rarely hang around each other but she was easily able to decipher my personality. She googled "free spirit" for inspiration and then suggested that I get a feather. ....PERFECT, I thought. & that's exactly what I got. 

- but not any ole feather-

I got a peacock feather. ..which totally up'd the ante ;)

A Day At The Doll House

Since I've posted pics of my deconstructed denim - alot of my friends, and friends of friends have been hitting me up so that I can jazz up theirs. 

The two that you see below were distressed and bleached for my very first customer, which is what brought me to Paper Doll yesterday. I dropped them off with Stephy and we hung out for pretty much the whole day. It was heaven inside of there - a totally diff world compared to outside where you were sure to melt your life away. 

Fun Times for sure!

While there were many customers coming in and out of the boutique, I was only taken by one.

Abby walked in yesterday and purchased a beautiful bib necklace, filled with an assortment of colorful gems. 

The piece was clearly very true to her style -which wasn't hard to pin-point once you spotted the extreme pop of color that adorned her feet. 

This glossy skippy pulled at my heart's chords upon first glimpse!
