And Above All...

watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.

He Say She Say | Yogi Bhajan

“Accept yourself early in the morning when you look in the mirror or when you open your eyes—just say, “By the Grace of God, I am a complete woman.” One affirmation only, and remember it throughout the day. Dress up for yourself, be for yourself, and carry yourself. You will never be handicapped.”

He Say She Say | Mark Jenkins

Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.

He Say She Say | Andy Warhol

"I just think people forgot what emotions were supposed to be. ..It's too hard to care. I mean, I still care but ..it'd be so much nicer not to care. It's just easier being detached"

He Say She Say | Jim Morrison

People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel pain.

Do not expect the world to look bright, if you habitually wear gray-brown glasses.

He Say She Say | Pharrell Williams

we are noticers. we’re sensitives. we notice the rhythms in certain things and we identify them. & then we coin terms for them, and most of the world is not able to keep up. But some people just have that innate thing that allows them to express themselves in a way the majority can follow.
That’s when you’re affecting culture.

He Say She Say | Natosha A Gayle

You are as powerful and strong as you allow yourself to be.
The most difficult part of any endeavour is taking the first step, making the first decision.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and
love and live.

We are getting an education of a lifetime. We're actually out there in the real world.

He Say She Say | Diana Ross

So I`m not worried about the emotions I carry with me, because I`m happy that I have them; I think it`s good for the work I do. The emotions that are not healthy are the ones you hold inside, like anger.

He Say She Say | Federico Fellini

I discovered that what's really important for a creator isn't what we vaguely define as inspiration or even what it is we want to say, recall, regret, or rebel against.
No, what's important is the way we say it. Art is all about craftsmanship.
Others can interpret craftsmanship as style if they wish. Style is what unites memory or recollection, ideology, sentiment, nostalgia, presentiment, to the way we express all that.
It's not what we say but how we say it that matters"

[..It's not what we wear but HOW we wear it that matters.]

He Say She Say | Janet Jackson

I'm convinced that we black women possess a special indestructible strength
that allows us to not only get down but to get up, to get through, and to get over.

He Say She Say | Leslie Pitterson

This life we’re all waiting for? It starts to show itself when we decide that we are fully worth the investment. When we decide that we are worth every last bit of energy and passion we have. When we choose to believe that being powerful is how we are made to be. So live in your life fully. Live— &stop waiting for your story to unfold. Live in it till it’s worn and broken in. Live in it till it hurts like hell. & then go live in it some more.

He Say She Say - Jessica Care Moore

I can bake cookies, bear babies, preside over revolutions
Get rings out of tubs, wear a suit, sport baggy jeans, slick my hair back
Or tie it up in braids.
My aura is unafraid.

He Say She Say | Jay-Z

A huge lesson for me was that if I was gonna be successful, I had to be successful as myself.
I couldn't be successful doing what other people were doing.
I had to do what I believed in and what felt real to me and felt true to me,
because the worst thing to be is successful as someone else.

I miss New York.
I still love how people talk to you on the street
just assault you and tell you what they think of your jacket.

lol.
